Yes! We’ve blocked out the days that Getaway Farm is closed in the pick-up calendar to avoid booking mishaps. If something slips through the cracks, we will call you as soon as possible.

We’ll contact you to see what happened and reschedule your pick-up for another day.

Maybe! We’re always on the hunt for more high-quality local products. Please use our contact form to let us know about it.

Not long at all! Our steaks are vacuum-sealed, so you can put the sealed package under running water to speed thawing and have it ready to go in under 15 minutes.

Roasts take longer because of their size. Thawing overnight in the fridge is easiest and safest, but you can also place your roast (still in its sealed package) in a bowl of cold water for several hours, replacing the cold water often. This method will thaw a 2-3 lb roast in about 3 hours and a 4-5 lb roast in about 5 hours.

Oh no! We’ll fix that ASAP. Email us your name, order number, and what went wrong as soon as you notice and we’ll arrange to correct your order.

Great, we’re happy to hear from you – good or bad. Did someone go the extra mile for you? Did you run into trouble making your order? Use our contact form and let us know!

Not necessarily. Beef naturally gives off certain gasses over time, and they don’t all smell great. If the smell goes away after a minute or two out of the package, that’s what it was!
That said, we can’t know what happens to the package once it leaves the shop with you. Be careful not to allow the package to thaw and then refreeze it, nor to leave meat on the counter or in the fridge for too long. Food safety is important!

Once thawed, all our frozen products are best eaten within two days. Some cuts can last longer, but it’ll all taste best when freshly thawed.

We are cutting steaks and roasts for you every day, check back in the morning! For other products, we typically restock once or twice a week.
If you go to the product page, you should see a button that says "Email when available". Click the button and add your email and our system will automatically notify you when the product is back in stock!
